A group picture with George Bogart's wife: Amanda.
A group picture with George Bogart's wife: Amanda.
I decided since this picture was labeled by my grandmother or one of her siblings "Grandma Bogart" that is almost certainly Amanda and not Ella (or Etta). This would be the only woman she would recall as her grandmother.

Would love to find out more about this picture, I would guess it's a school or some such in Montcalm Co., MI

  • Notes
    • I'm not at all certain that the name of the women who married George Darius Bogart was Marietta Rodman, however, I found information on the LDS site indicating this, and that they married in 1879. The 1880 census information retrieved from the same site lists George as living with his father Darius at the time. But, it also lists a daughter Alveretta and a son William that were born in OH. If George was born in MI in 1859 and the next two children were born in OH in 1861 and 1863, followed by Agnes in 1865, does that mean they moved back to Ohio for a time? Maybe Alveretta is George's wife?
