  Played the part of "Princess Fatima" for her husband's "Sheik" wrestling persona: "Back in his early days, Sheik was accompanied to the ring by his manager, The Princess. Sheik would undoubtedly abuse Princess before each match, hitting, kicking, spitting and yelling at her as she knelt before him holding incense. She would often be physically kicked out of the ring, much to the disgust of fans in attendance and on television." "While his manager, Farouk, told the various TV announcers what dastardly deeds the Sheik was going to perform in their local arena, the Sheik busied himself by reviewing his line of "harem girls," who accompanied him to the ring. Sometimes only Princess Fatima, better known as his wife, Joyce, was by his side. She bore the brunt of the Sheik's abuse, while Farouk pattered on in the foreground. It made for a weird, yet fascinating scene."
