  Notes	The parents of John Early Layne are listed as Dave Layne and Mary Kilgore on his death certificate. Mary Ann seems to be the only real candidate, not to mention David and Mary live next door to her mother Nancy in 1850. Mary lists only three of nine children still living as of 1900 in that year's census.

  Notes	Determined that George married Lucinda Layne from King David's delayed birth certificate, however no census record exists during the time they were married. In 1900 George has remarried and only John is living with him. The other children are living with their grandparents. We are reasonably certain they are all siblings given the regularly spaced differences in age, but can only be 100% certain of John and King David. We can be fairly certain Wash is also a sibling as he lists his closest relative as George on his draft registration card. Of Amanda no conclusive proof exists, but circumstances lead us to believe she is a sibling as well.
