• Notes

  Layne genealogy book mentions that Walker joined the Confederate Army at age 17, but I've found no record of this. In addition that would have been 2 years before the war actually started. Was merchant in Victoria, TN after the war. 1880 census Marion Co., TN shows him with wife and Hiram 14, Verny 12, Molly 11, Thomas 9, Green 8, Ada 4, Lindy 1.
