Shocked and Awed
A three post day. Sorry I usually don’t post so much, but I saw this on Yahoo’s Daily Picks and I just had to post it. Shocked and Awed contains a collection of drawings of Operation Iraqi Freedom as depicted by Iraqi schoolchildren. It’s very interesting to see how American’s are viewed through their eyes. Some see us as liberators, but most depict the ugliness of it all. As the curator of the exhibit says:
It is my hope that many people will see these images to better understand that there are no ‘smart bombs.’ Children and innocents have been killed, crippled, maimed and orphaned by this war. War is not a football game. There are no winners. War represents the worst of human nature.
