Strange Weather
This weather we are having lately confuses and frightens me. 70 degrees and it’s January 4th. Looking at Ye Old Almanac, I see that today’s temperature may very well be a record. Why we haven’t seen temperatures like these since way back in… er… 1998 when it reached 69 degrees.
Now I really don’t know the details of the whole global warming debate and today’s data amounts to nothing more than a statistical blip. But thinking back about the odd weather over the past few years does tend to raise an eyebrow.
Still, it’s hard to get too bent out of shape when it’s gorgeous and sunny out when it should be cold, gray and miserable. I just hope it doesn’t translate to 105-110 degree days come August.
