Interesting times?
A while back I blogged about how uneventful things have been around here. Well, what a difference a few weeks makes. Nothing bad has happened, but last week I accepted a job with Griffin Technology. It was a very tough decision as I work with a great bunch of guys at GLW doing some very cool work. Except for a little, um, break, I’ve been at GLW since 1988.
Lately I’ve been thinking that a change of scenery make be good for me and when the opportunity presented itself to join Griffin, I decided to go for it. Not only does Griffin makes some pretty cool gizmos too, but another former GLW employee and friend, Mark Rowan, also works there. So odds are good that I’ll get along with at least one person at Griffin.
One problem though: GLW has been gracious enough to provide space and bandwidth on their server to host my web site back since it was called “Casey’s Bits of Things”. I’m hopeful that GLW will continue to host my site for some time while I make arrangements to transfer it to a real web hosting company, or possibly to Griffin‘s servers. So, depending on how things work out, I may have to scale back pr3d4t0r.com or maybe even do away with it altogether. I don’t think that will happen, but I’ll keep everyone posted.
Good luck on your new job. I hope you like it!!
WHAT!!?!! Please keep PR3D4TOR alive!!!
Congratulations on the new job and you better keep this web site!!! I love it!! I also just introduced it to Kenny and his daughter Kayna on Superbowl Sunday. Take a break if you must but please keep this site.
Thanks Dale. Not to worry about the site. The only thing that will make it go away is if I have to pay lots of money every month to host it somewhere else. I don’t >thinkThanks Dale. At the worst I'd probably just scale it down considerably.
