    • In a message dated 18 Apr 2001 by Joe Schmitt on the Fleser message board at Rootsweb.com:

CATHARINA LOUISA WELLER, born 14 April 1798 at Karlsberg (later "Carlsdorf", now Sanddorf a town incorporated into the city of Homburg, Saarland, Germany), daughter of Jakob Weller (1764-1818) and Catharina Sanger (Sanjer, Sancher) (1773-1838), married 17 February 1820 at civil registrar's office, Homburg (then Rhenish Bavaria, now Saar) to ADAM FLESER (variant spellings many! "Floesser,"Floeser, etc.), born 17 August 1793 in ALTSIMTEN, Pirmsens, Rheinland-Pfalz Germany). Catharina Louisa Weller Fleser was sister to my 2nd great-grandmother Catharina Elisabetha Weller (1800-1827), married to Jean Philippe Bold, Sr. of Sanddorf. My great grandfather Philipp Bold, Jr. (1823-1889) was the only surviving child of this union. The Bold emigrated to Ozaukee, WI in 1846. The Fleser cousins in MI maintained contact with their Bold relatives in WI--I have a photo of Maria Catharina Fleser (married to Christian Sutter, Swiss immigrant) and of their children. Sutter, Jacob and Philip Fleser all lived in Kent County, Salem Township in 1870. I have Weller ancestry to 16th century (mostly Saarbruecken area). I would gladly exchange information for data on descendants of Adam Fleser. Please contact me at jmschmitt@pacbell.net.
